Cherry Chocolate Mint Smoothie

There is lots of green in this smoothie but no one will know but you! ;)  It's a pretty potent smoothie full of.....well everything good for you!  One of my favorite things about Summer is that I'm consistent in making green smoothies because a cold smoothie actually sounds good in the Summer time!

At our house Ryan and I have a funny saying, it goes like this......"But it's sooooo good for you!"  To Ryan this means..."Oh man Tammie is made something super duper healthy that is NOT going to taste good like most of her food!"  To me it means, "Dang this really doesn't taste to bad for how healthy it is.....I can totally drink this, it's not like delicious but it's not nasty either I don't gag when I eat it....and wow it's so good for me that makes it taste even better!"  So we see things just a little differently.  I try really hard to make all my food really taste good but sometimes when it's this healthy to just be pretty good is alright in my book and Ryan he is even a big boy and drinks it up!

And just so you know when I made this for the kids the other day they were like thinking it was a treat because I put carob in it!  They drank it right up and said, "Mom that's really good, make it again soon okay!"  Because it was a different spin on their regular green smoothie.

Cherry Chocolate Mint Smoothie
3 cups water
20 baby carrots
1/2 raw beet
2 Heaping Tablespoons Raw Carob Powder
1 Tablespoons Chia seed
1 teaspoon Sunwarrior Ormus Greens
2 teaspoons Sunwarrior Liquid Light (optional)
2 Large handfuls Spinach
1 Large Kale Leaf
1 large or 2 small dandelion leaves
2 cups frozen cherries
3 frozen bananas
2 cups frozen blueberries
1 Heaping Tablespoons Thick Coconut Milk
1 Tablespoon Agave (optional)

In blender combine first 10 ingredients.  Blend until smooth.  Add the rest of the ingredients blend again until smooth.  Makes well over 2 quarts probably closer to almost 3 quarts.  If you don't have a large Blendtec Wild Side jar you will probably want to half the recipe.  If you are wondering where the mint comes in it's in the Ormus Greens.
