It's that time of year and as part of
Whole Foods for the Holidays I'm featuring this recipe again! After playing in the snow my kids love this! I have personally found Chocolate to be a bit strong for me. I feel like it taxes my adrenals and I seem to have a reaction (headache, big pimples, feeling depressed, etc.)every time I eat very much. Supposed "healthy chocolate" seems overpriced and pretty hyped. I also feel like it seems to have an addictive quality. For these reasons I eat very, very little if any chocolate. It works for me and I have found my family and I enjoy carob and don't miss the chocolate. For those of you who really enjoy chocolate I have heard part cocoa and part carob is a great compliment. You won't overdo the chocolate and both contain nutrients that can work together for you. Whatever you choose I hope you ENJOY my recipe!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
Rich and Creamy Hot Carob
2 cups rice or almond milk
2 rounded Tablespoons organic raw carob powder (may use more if you want it more "chocolaty")
3 Tablespoons agave nectar or desired sweetener may add more or less depending on how sweet you want it
1/2 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
pinch of salt (optional)
1/2 Tablespoon
coconut oil (optional if you want it more rich)
Mix ingredients into a small pot on the stove! Stir till nice and warm do not boil!

Thank you. I have seen similar versions for a healthy chocolate drink. No more instant hot chocolate for me and my family. This is so good!
Oh my...on Sunday night we made this and added a big scoop of Vanilla Coconut Ice Cream to each cup...it was the perfect treat to watch the Christmas devotional with!
Love you!!
I will also say that hazelnut milk makes an awesome combo with carob and cacao! Yum!
Chocolate gives me headaches too! Thanks for this alternative. It looks so inviting!
