We can do better!

We MUST do better! If not for you for your children and grand-children! This video is so great! I think Ann Cooper is one of my new heros. All you Parents it has to start with you. You are your children's most influential teacher whether you know it or not. No one else cares more about your kids! Moms you have to lead out and be excited about it. Dads oh just please smile and be supportive. Your kids are watching and learning so much from you! Just keep it Simple, Healthy, and Tasty! They will come along for the ride! Besides that you buy their food! ;)

Well worth the 20 minutes. What a travesty at how much is spent on the children who do go to school(We are homeschooled, so that does not apply to us). But less than a dollar a day. Who, as an adult, could eat for that much, and if I could I would not want to eat what I was givien.

But as Fit has said before. What is served in the schools is what they are getting at home. It is the SAD. I hope it changes, my fingers are crossed!

Wow, she hits the nail on the head! I have been shocked at what Jolene has told me about what they are now serving here at our own elementary school. Obviously a huge problem. Ironically they don't let them cook food from scratch because of health safety issues. Hmmmmmm. great "food for thought" Thanks for sharing. Love Mom

That was very good! Having been a teacher and seeing what kids eat- what they bring from home is often worse than the school lunch. Kids don't know how to eat vegetables, or even what they are.

Thanks for that! I just watched it with my kids because I need all the help I can get teaching them to eat healthy. I haven't been the best example and it's difficult to change our bad habits. At the store today my son couldn't understand why I won't buy him Pringles anymore!
